The high pigment load in each paint produces rich, brilliant, permanent colour with an exceptionally smooth, thick buttery consistency which retains brush strokes and palette knife marks. Great for thick/impasto applications and painting techniques. The paint is flexible when dry; the thick films remain free of cracks and chips. Phosphorescent Green is a Heavy Body paint that can be applied to various surfaces. The unique pigment used has the ability to absorb and store natural and artificial light. Once the light source is removed (i.e. when the lights are turned off or the painted object is taken into a dark area), a bright, greenish glow is emitted for up to 15 minutes. The glow steadily diminishes as the stored light energy is released. The Heavy body colors retain excellent flexibility when dry, greatly diminishing the possibility of cracking that occurs in other natural and synthetic polymer systems. This means you can even use Liquitex Heavy Body paints on fabrics including Leather. Liquitex Heavy Body Artist Colour is ideal for experimental, mixed media, collage and printmaking applications. There are no fillers, extenders, opacifiers, toners, or dyes added. Because Heavy Body colours contain no matting agents, the gloss of each color will be different. Colours that tolerate a higher pigment load dry to a more opaque, matte finish.
