The Sennelier Giant Oil Pastel Black contain high-grade pigments, an incredibly pure synthetic binding medium, and mineral wax. An inert, non-siccative binding medium that doesn't oxidise and doesn't affect the surface or stability of the film is used to grind the pigments, the wax (neutral pH) is then combined with this base. Sennelier oil pastels have a creamy texture that allows for a great lot of artistic freedom, thanks to the balance of this blend. With the exception of metallic and fluorescent tones, the Sennelier oil pastels have a very high pigment concentration, which gives them remarkable brightness, a high degree of light stability, and a significant potential for colouring and covering.
