The Expressionist Confidant palette is ideal for artists looking for a smaller “go-to” palette in their studio. This open palette design has an open hand grab for holding brushes or a mahlstick, as well as a lower quadrant for further mixing or holding your medium palette cup and/or paint cloth. Because the form allows you to work quite close to your canvas, the surface area provides plenty of opportunity for colour and is great for finishing or detail work. Patented Design: The three-point design fits all body types while keeping your wrist straight and dispersing the palette weight between the hand, rear forearm, and chest. This provides optimal balance and comfort while reducing stress on the muscles and tendons of the hand, wrist, arm, and shoulder. Finish: After staining, the palettes are finished with a non-porous proprietary satin formulation that is dense and resistant to water as well as conventional artist solvents and mediums. Furthermore, the finish is crack and chip resistant, non-yellowing, and freezer safe. Proper Care: Works well with oil paint. Do not use a razor blade or dig your palette knife into the surface. Artist solvents and a plastic razor blade can be used to remove wet oil paints. Avoid putting Clove Oil straight on your palette because it will change the finish.
