A fire hose and leather hide Billfold Wallet that combines rescued leather off-cuts from Burberry with decommissioned fire hose material that has seen active duty putting out fires up and down the UK in some cases for up to 25 years. The interior of the wallet is lined with reclaimed with military grade parachute silk. This wallet was their first fire and hide piece and they have kept putting them out only improving on them since then. It features an elegant and practical design with sections for 8 credit cards or debit cards helping to organize even the most full wallets. There are two additional pockets for business cards to give to clients and associates with a dividing section for multiples notes and foreign currency’s. The wallet is contactless friendly so you can tap your wallet rather then take your card out for payment. It is completely handmade with hand painted edges and an etched Elvis & Kresse logo at the front. Elvis & Kresse fell in love with London’s decommissioned fire-hose back in 2005 through a chance encounter with the London Fire Brigade. They took this lifesaving material home determined to breathe new life into it and save it from its otherwise inevitable end in landfill, and vowed to donate 50% of our profits to charity. For over a decade they have been rescuing all of London’s retired fire-hose by lovingly handcrafting them into sustainable luxury bags and accessories. Every year since, Elvis & Kresse have donated 50% of the profits from the Fire-hose Collection to The Fire Fighters Charity.
