This Winsor & Newton Galeria gesso is a professional quality primer made with an acrylic resin and pigments. This black gesso is ready to use straight from the tub. The deep matt black cover surface area quickly and helps in giving high colour contrast. When using this gesso before oils, it is recommended to apply at least 3 thin coats to reduce absorbency and boost the surface’s integrity.
